Thanksgiving

Today is THANKSGIVING. Yeah. This is probably my favorite of all holidays. Maybe because it has a lot to do with food and football. Oh ya family too. We are going over to Dana's parents house like we do every year. Its a good time. Last night though their hood fan above their cook top popped off and came crashing down, breaking the cook top. Jerry went to 5 or 6 different places looking for a cook top that he could pick up right then instead of having it ordered. Well he came in with the only one he could find which was a floor model. If any one has ever had to pick a floor model up of any kind you know it doesn't come with any kind of instruction. Not to mention that it didn't quite fit the counter top that well. We were grinding away at his granite trying to shave off an eighth of an inch in some spots. The electrical was also a little crazy. Fun. Well it's in and thanksgiving can resume as planned. Dana has invited over a friend of hers from work that has just moved to Mi. Not too long ago. Her name is Jackie. I had to talk to her on the phone to give her directions. She seems very nice, hopefully we don't scare her away. Sometimes when the family gets together things can get kind of hairy. Not like Wills back but the other way, you know what I mean. Happy thanksgiving to every one. I hope everybody has a great day and I will pray for all of you.

P.S.
Last night Dana finally took me to her new favorite restaurant for our anniversary. The Melting pot. It was really good. I recommend to anyone who likes fondue to try this place out, It's well worth it. A little pricey but we had a good time.

Fantasy football

I love to play fantasy football. Every year for the last 4 or 5 years I have been involved in a league or 3. Last year I had my first losing season, and It seems as though this year isn't going to be much better. I'm doing better than last year but not much. I just can't catch a break. If I score well, the guy I'm playing will score just a little more. Maybe I need to pray to the fantasy gods and ask for some mercy.

Once in a while I will get on the computer and play Texas Hold em. My brother in law and I will jump on speaker phone for a bit and play for a couple of hrs. If you make yourself a cocktail and put some music on, its close to sitting in a garage giving money to Dave k. I had the intention of doing that last night. But I heard Dana watching , I think her name is, Joyce Meyers. She is a speaker that's on TV. I don't know what she is classified as: preacher pastor ,etc. but she is really good. I sat with Dana kind of for some support and kind of because I was interested. It didn't take too long for my eyes to close for the night. Wasn't too supportive was it. Anyway I'm going to play some poker this weekend(on the computer). So If anyone wants to join give me a call.

Talk to ya later

Halloween

Well Halloween was a fun night. On our way over to Jeff and Diane's house we stopped off at McDonald to get food for everyone. It was supposed to be pizza but the line was horrible. AND I have to say that the double cheese from McDonald's is one of the best burgers in the world. I just love those things. Real good for you too. We got the kids to scarf down some nuggets and fries before we met up with the tractor. This year the trailer that was used was decorated up with flashing lights and hay bales. Pretty nice set up. Erika was in her boots so she had a hard time keeping up with all of the other kids but she did a good job. Olivia on the other had was like a ping pong ball. She would hit two house to Erikas one. About half way through the ride. Erika wanted to go home. So Jeff called the girls to have one of them come and pick her and Ryan up. When Diane showed up in the van all four kids decided that they were done. Which surprised me. I thought that Via would go all night. At the last second Erika changed her mind and got back out of the car and wanted to go back out for some more candy. Auntie gave her another jacket and a pair of gloves and she was good for another 20 mins. Towards the end she just stayed on the trailer for the ride. I think she just wanted to hang out with me. I thought that was cool. We sat together on the trailer for rest of the night. They both ended up with a decent amount of candy. Nothing I would have been proud of. When I was their age it was more of competition. Get as much candy as quick as you could. My parents never bought my sisters and I candy so I had to get enough for the whole year. It was a good night in all. Dana posted some pictures on her blog for every one to see. Talk to ya later...
